Copying your URL

In the top right corner of your Admin on desktop, you'll see your Linktree URL displayed. Next to that is a button that says 'Copy Link'. Hit that, then you're ready to paste it everywhere and anyway!

On mobile your URL displays at the very top of your admin. Highlight it to copy, then paste wherever you need it.

1. Adding your Linktree to Instagram

Make sure you add your URL to the website field when you go to 'Edit Profile'. If you mistakenly add it to the 'Bio' field, it will display, but it won't be clickable.

2. Adding your Linktree to Facebook

If you want your Linktree within your Facebook profile details under 'Website' or 'Social Links', you'll need to make sure your audience is set to Public. But you can paste your URL directly into the Facebook bio box without needing to go Public.

From desktop

  1. Click on your profile - on the left side you'll see 'Intro' directly beneath your profile picture.
  2. Hit the 'Edit bio' button.
  3. Paste your Linktree URL in here.
  4. Hit save, and you're done!

From the mobile app

  1. From Home, hit the main menu button (three horizontal lines).
  2. Select your profile from the top of the menu list.
  3. On your profile, beneath your name you'll find 'Edit bio'.
  4. Paste your Linktree URL and hit 'Save'.

3. Adding your Linktree URL to Twitter

From desktop

  1. Go to Profile and you'll find the 'Edit profile' button parallel with your Twitter avatar. Select it.
  2. Scroll down to the 'Website' section of your profile. Paste your URL here.
  3. Hit 'Save'.

From the mobile app

  1. From home, click on your avatar pic at top left.
  2. Select 'Profile' from the menu that appears.
  3. Hit 'Edit profile' which is in line with your avatar picture.
  4. Paste your Linktree URL into the 'Website' section.
  5. Hit 'Save'.

 Top tip!

A great way to draw attention to your Linktree on Twitter is to share it in a tweet that you then pin. That way it's always the first tweet your audience reads on your profile.

4. Adding your Linktree URL to LinkedIn

LinkedIn only allows you to add a website to your profile from its desktop site. If you only have access to mobile, you will need to add your Linktree URL as a link when editing the 'About' section. It will still work, it's just not as intuitive for people to discover.

From desktop

  1. From your profile select the pencil icon that is in line with your profile pic.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the pop-up box, to where it says 'Contact info'.
  3. Hit the pencil icon next to 'Profile URL, Websites, Phone, Email, Twitter, Birthday, WeChat ID'.
  4. Under 'Website URL' paste your Linktree. Select whether it's your personal, company, blog, portfolio site, or other.
  5. Hit 'Apply'.

From the mobile app

  1. Select 'View Profile' by hitting the little profile pic in the top lefthand corner.
  2. From your profile select the pencil icon that next to the 'About' section.
  3. In the 'Media' box, hit 'Link' and paste your Linktree URL here.
  4. Hit 'Apply'.

5. Adding your Linktree URL to Pinterest

To update your profile, you will need to access Pinterest from desktop, not from the app.

From desktop

  1. Go to your profile by clicking on your profile pic in the top toolbar.
  2. Hit the pencil icon and scroll down to 'About your profile'.
  3. Paste your Linktree URL here and hit 'Done'.

Pinterest doesn't allow hyperlinks in profiles, so your link won't link out, but followers can copy and paste it.

 Top tip!

Although Pinterest doesn't link out from your profile, links do work from the pins you create, or from any comments you make, whether on mobile or desktop. Pasting your Linktree URL here is a great way to make sure your Linktree is found by new audiences.

6. Adding your Linktree URL to TikTok

TikTok doesn't yet let all users link out from their bio. It's coming though, so stay tuned! In the meantime, it's best to just paste your Linktree URL into the 'Bio' section of your profile.

  1. Hit 'Me' in the bottom right corner.
  2. Hit the red 'Edit profile' button.
  3. Paste your Linktree URL into the bio section.
  4. Hit 'Save'.

7. Adding your Linktree URL to Slack

This is a great option if you use Slack for work and want your colleagues to know more about what you do outside of work. Or maybe you're in a community Slack, where your Linktree will help members find out more about what you do. You can add your Linktree URL to your Slack profile in the 'What I do' section, but it won't link out. You can also pin a message in any channel.

8. Adding your Linktree URL to YouTube

From desktop

  1. Go to 'Your channel' by clicking on your profile pic in the top left.
  2. Hit 'Customize channel'.
  3. Navigate to the 'About' tab.
  4. Hover over the 'Links' section and a pencil icon will appear. Click this.
  5. Write your link copy, which could be 'My Linktree' or the entire URL.
  6. Paste the URL into the URL box and hit 'Done'.
