Ready to connect your Linktree with Instagram? Here's what you need to know:

Instagram needs you to have the following to successfully connect your account:

Your Instagram account must be a Creator or Business account.

Your Instagram account must be connected to a Facebook Page.

How to check the type of your Instagram account

Head to your Instagram profile on the app.

If there's an option to Switch to a professional account, you're currently using a personal account and will need to switch to a Creator or Business account.

1. Head to your Instagram profile on the app.
2. Click on Edit Profile.
3. If there's an option to Switch to a professional account, you're currently using a personal account and will need to switch to a Creator or Business account.

How to change the type of your Instagram account

A. Switch your Personal account to a Creator account:

Choose Switch to a professional account and follow the on-screen steps.

Pick a category that best describes you and then select Done.

Select account type as Creator and then select Next.

You're all set! Your Instagram account is now a Creator account.

1. Head to your Instagram profile on the app.
2. Tap on Edit Profile.
3. Choose Switch to a professional account and follow the on-screen steps.
4. Pick a category that best describes you and then select Done.
5. Select account type as Creator and then select Next.
6. You're all set! Your Instagram account is now a Creator account.

B. Switch your Personal account to a Business account:

Pick a category that best describes your business and then select Done.

Select account type as Business and then select Next.

Review your contact info and select Next.

To successfully connect with Instagram, you need to link your account with a Facebook Page. Follow the next steps and log in to Facebook.

Choose a Page from your Pages that you'd like to connect to or select Create a New Facebook Page.

Tap Connect after you've selected a Page or created a new Page.

You've now converted your Instagram account to a Business type, and linked with a Facebook Page.

1. Head to your Instagram profile on the app.
2. Tap on Edit Profile.
3. Choose Switch to a professional account and follow the on-screen steps.
4. Pick a category that best describes your business and then select Done.
5. Select account type as Business and then select Next.
6. Review your contact info and select Next.
7. To successfully connect with Instagram, you need to link your account with a Facebook Page. Follow the next steps and log in to Facebook.
8. Choose a Page from your Pages that you'd like to connect to or select Create a New Facebook Page.
9. Tap Connect after you've selected a Page or created a new Page.
10. You've now converted your Instagram account to a Business type, and linked with a Facebook Page.

How to check if your Instagram account is linked to a Facebook Page

Under the Profile Information / Public Business Information section, select Page.

1. If you're asked to Connect to a Facebook Page, it means that your Instagram account is NOT linked to a Facebook page.
2. If you're asked to Manage Connection, it means that your Instagram account is linked to a Facebook page.

How to link your Instagram account to a Facebook page

Under the Profile Information / Public Business Information section, select Connect or Create under the Page option.

Follow the next steps and log in to Facebook.

Choose a Page from your Pages that you'd like to connect to or select Create a New Facebook Page.

Tap Connect after you've selected a Page or created a new Page.

You have successfully linked your Instagram account to a Facebook page.
