Let’s start by linking to your different social media platforms with our social icon feature. This feature lets you display clickable social icons on your Linktree. Using social icons makes sure that the main links on your Linktree (which we will cover in the next article) are for your most relevant, current content!
Head to the settings tab to start adding your social icons. You can choose from over 30 social platforms!
💡 Tip: If you are trying to drive traffic to your social media platforms, place the icons at the top of your Linktree. If not, move them to the bottom to keep the focus on your links.
How to add social media icons?
You can add your social media icons by going to the Social Icons section in the Settings tab of your Admin.
Once you're in this section, follow the steps below:
Hit the Add Icon button.
Search for the social media platform that you'd like to add.
Add your social profile URL or add your handle.
Hit Add to Linktree.
How to reorder social media icons?
You can change the order that your social media icons appear on your Linktree so that you can display your most engaged social platforms first.
To reorder your social icons, simply select the three dots on the left-hand side of each icon and move them in the order that you prefer.
🔔 Note: Reordering your social icons is currently unavailable on the Linktree app. Hop onto a web browser to reorder your social icons on your Linktree.
How to move the placement of social icons?
To change the placement of where your social icons appear on your Linktree, you will see a Position option below your list of icons. You can select either to display the icons at the Top or Bottom of your profile.
What if my social media platforms are my most important links?
The short answer, add them as a link also! This is because links typically get more clicks than social icons. It’s best to be strategic about which social media platforms you are adding as links and only add your main platforms.
For example: I am present on 5 social media platforms, however my focus is trying to grow my TikTok. Add all 5 accounts as social icons and include your TikTok as an embedded link.

FAQ
What if I have multiple accounts on the same social media platform?
Currently you can only add one account for each social media platform. If you have more than one account for a particular platform (e.g. two instagram accounts) decide if they are both relevant to share on your Linktree. If they are, add them as links. Make sure you give each link accurate titles so your visitors know which is which!
What if there is no icon for the social media platform I want to add?
We do our best to add new platforms as they gain popularity! If you think we are missing any social icons please contact our support team to let us know.
