How to Feature your links with a visual preview on Linktree
Updated over a week ago

Drive growth and bring more attention to your links with Featured Layouts. This new layout feature helps you make a strong first impression and entices your visitors to explore your content with a visual, automatically expanded link display.

Now you can select from two Layout options on your Linktree – Classic and Featured. The Classic selection offers a compact text based link and Featured provides a more visual content preview. It’s best to use Featured layouts on your most important links to help them stand out!

💡 Tip: With our Store link you can choose from three Layout options: Classic, Carousel, and Grid to best show off your products.

How to add a Featured Layout

For Youtube, Music, Spotify & Store link apps plus TikTok, Instagram & Twitter all coming soon:

  1. In your Link Editor, create or scroll down to the link you wish to feature.

  2. Tap the first icon that corresponds to the link type (e.g. YouTube).

  3. Switch to the Layout tab.

  4. Choose the layout for your link - either Featured or Classic.

    1. For Featured we'll display a preview of your content with the relevant call to action, designed to boost engagement.

    2. For Classic we’ll display a compact button.

  5. That’s it! Now you can open your Linktree and see the Featured Layout in action.

For classic links:

  1. In your Link Editor, create or scroll down to the link you wish to feature.

  2. Tap the Layout icon to open the layout settings.

  3. Choose the layout for your link - either Featured or Classic.

    1. For the Featured layout we will display the uploaded thumbnail. You can update your thumbnail at any time, by selecting the image icon underneath the URL and upload your new image. If you don’t have a thumbnail image click the Add thumbnail button and follow the prompts to add your image.

    2. For best results, we recommend that you use JPEG images with a 16:9 aspect ratio.

  4. Open your Linktree and see the Featured Layout in action.

🔔 Note: Linkers on a Free plan can apply Featured layouts to two links at a time. This feature is unlimited for Linkers on Starter plan and up.
