How to share a Tr.ee link
Updated over a week ago

It's now easier than ever to direct visitors to a specific piece of content on your Linktree with our fully customizable tr.ee short links. Instead of your visitors digging through your Linktree to find what they're looking for, a tr.ee link will help you drive visitors to a priority link directly.

When you create a tr.ee link, you will see two options to help you share your link. One option will send your visitors to your Linktree with the particular link expanded or highlighted, while the other option, which is available on our Pro and Premium plans, will skip your Linktree entirely and send visitors to the end destination URL.

The best part about tr.ee links is that you can collect and see the engagement stats in your Analytics page and maximize conversion for your content.

💡Tip: Use tr.ee links as a Link Sticker in an Instagram Story or in a Tweet to drive more traffic. You can also use it as a call-to-action like a tour announcement, music release, or merch drop.

Steps

  1. When you've created the link that you want to share, hit the Share icon found next to the link toggle.

  2. In the Share settings, hit Copy next to your tr.ee link URL. Alternatively, if you're on our Pro or Premium plans, hit the Customize tr.ee link option to customize your link by using a word or short phrase, then hit Save before you copy your tr.ee link URL.

  3. You will see two options to help you share your tr.ee link. Select to either Send visitors to your Linktree and highlight or Skip Linktree and go directly to your link.

🔔 Note: The Skip Linktree and go directly to your link option is only available for those on our Pro and Premium plans.

And that's it!

Now you can share all your links with your audience and drive engagement to your most important content.

What will my visitors see?

What your visitors will see will depend on the sharing option that you selected when you created the link.

If you selected the option to Send visitors to your Linktree and highlight, your visitors will be brought to your Linktree and the link will be highlighted for a few seconds with the background links hidden in the shadows. If you selected the option to Skip Linktree and go directly to the link, your visitors will bypass your Linktree and they'll be brought directly to the webpage to view your content.
