GDPR policy updates
Updated over a week ago

In line with our mission to always take meticulous care of user data, we are compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What does this mean for you?

Since day one, we have taken every precaution to protect user data and privacy. The guidelines set by GDPR meant we made a few changes to our privacy policy and the way some things work under the hood. But you, as the user, don't have to change the way you use Linktree - it's still the same product you know and love.

Changes we made to meet with GDPR

  • Updated our Terms of Service.

  • Updated our Privacy Policy to make sure we provide information about the rights individuals have under the GDPR and more details about our processing of personal data.

  • Updated our Cookie Policy to include specific information about the cookies that we place and how we use them.

  • Added a GDPR addendum to our policies that specifically outlines how we handle your data and why we collect it.

  • Added an easy-to-use form for you to ask questions about how we store, handle or process data. You can also ask for your data be transferred or deleted from here.

  • Placed all of these links in an easy-to-find Trust Center.

  • We revisited and re-documented our business processes, ensuring our users' privacy and security in everything we do.

  • We optimized how we manage your data, assess risks, and respond to breaches in the unlikely instance one occurs.

What else are we working on?

  • Creating an End User privacy policy that explicitly outlines the difference in privacy between Linktree users and visitors to Linktree profiles.

  • Putting your secured data to good use with a new analytics suite and a whole host of new features coming soon.

We're fully committed to meeting and upholding the standards in the data privacy and security of GDPR.
